The West Virginia Children's Brain Tumor Society was founded in 2012, made possible by a generous donation from the Koon Foundation. The West Virginia Children's Brain Tumor Society strives to provide a resource for children, families, and primary care doctors in the greater West Virginia area who are faced with a pediatric brain tumor diagnosis.

This website features a Learning Center with a growing catalog of informational videos and presentations featuring the Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at WVU Children's Hospital — Dr. John J. Collins MD.

WV Children's Brain Tumor Society Supports Helium to Heaven Event

September 1, 2012

WVCBTS attended the "Helium to Heaven" balloon release on September 1, 2012 at Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church in Westover. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Johnny Koon Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund at West Virginia University Children's Hospital.
